Neil Popovic is a partner at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP in San Francisco, where he practices complex litigation, with an emphasis on international disputes. His practice also includes international environmental law, class actions and white collar criminal defense. Mr. Popovic teaches International Environmental Law and Resolution of Private International Disputes. He has published numerous articles and contributed to books on subjects relating to international law and complex litigation, including international environmental law, human rights and the environment, international arbitration and litigation, and consumer class actions. Mr. Popovic was previously a partner at Heller Ehrman LLP, and before that he worked at the Sierra Club Legal Defense Fund (now Earthjustice), where he focused on international environmental law. Mr. Popovic sits on the Board of Directors of EarthRights International and the Berkeley Law-based Center for Youth Development through Law, and he is a member of the Advisory Board of the Center for Law, Energy and the Environment.
