David Mendel joined the Berkeley Law faculty in the spring of 2010 after more than 25 years in the investment management business. Mendel, a lecturer, teaches Introduction to Accounting and Finance. After working as an analyst and portfolio manager for Fidelity Investments, he founded an investment management firm for high net worth individuals. He has also invested in and founded numerous start-up companies. Most recently he was a lecturer for three years at San Jose State University. Mendel is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Mendel was awarded his MBA from Harvard Business School. He earned a B.A. in mathematics from Emory University.
