The New Business Counseling Practicum is a clinical program in which students assist local start-up businesses. All Practicum students must sign up for the 2 credit Seminar as the classroom component, and then sign up for 256.12 for 1-4 units for the clinical work conducted with entrepreneurs clients over the term.
-Law students must sign up for 4 credits for the first time taking 256.12.
-Returning law students can participate in the course again by electing 256.12 for 1-2 credits (with no accompanying Seminar).
-Haas students signing up for the course for the first time must elect both the companion Seminar (256.15) and the clinical course (256.12), however, they can choose the number of credits for the latter (between 1 and 4 credits).

Prerequisites: None, except that returning Practicum students are the only law students who can elect 256.12 for less than 4 credits.

Must be Second or Third Year Law Student, or MBA Student
