"The future belongs to those people who prepare for it today." A good lawyer is always prepared, and legal practice in the early years requires skills beyond researching, writing and having good substantive knowledge of the law. Legal practice requires having a toolbox of practical, intellectual, emotional and social skills. This course focuses on the skills that make the difference between an average junior attorney and the cut above, preparing you to advance more quickly and maintain a rewarding career.

Bridging the gap between law school and legal practice, this course takes students from the filing of a case to the end of trial, emphasizing the true role that junior attorneys play in each step of the process. Even though the course focuses on litigation at law firms, it will also present the perspective of transactional practice groups, public and government sectors, clients, and professional development individuals.

This course satisfies the Skills Requirement.
