This course provides a broad orientation to socio-legal studies in general, and the Jurisprudence and Social Policy program at Berkeley in particular. Each year the orientation seminar takes on a distinct but broad theme and uses it to explore the many methodologies and research traditions represented in the program. The class is limited to first year JSP students.
