This course introduces students to a variety of quantitative methods that are useful for empirical research on the social impact of legal rules in a wide variety of contexts. The target student aims to transition from a conversant consumer of empirical research to a discerning producer of empirical research. The teaching method is hands-on replication of empirical papers from the economics literature addressing the social impact of law.
