Drawing upon examples from diverse industries (wine, food, prescription drugs, telecommunications, insurance, professional sports, real estate, etc.) and legal disciplines (antitrust, product liability, economic regulation, environmental law, etc.), this seminar explores how principles embodied in the Supremacy and Commerce Clauses of the Constitution play out in "real" world situations. In addition to review of the relevant law and cases, we will consider these principles from the perspectives of policymaker, advocate, business person, and consumer.
