The Judicial Externship Seminar is a required 1-unit seminar for law students who will be doing part-time or full-time judicial externships in the fall 2009 semester. The seminar meets about every other week for 2 hours. In the seminar, students will be expected to discuss their externship experiences and we will cover topics such as: field placement learning opportunities; skills development (research, writing, etc.); and judicial administration (court organization, access to justice, judicial diversity, etc.).
Prerequisites:
Students must have an accompanying part-time or full-time judicial externship in the fall 2009 semester. Only 2nd and 3rd year students are eligible to participate. The academic rules do not allow second year students to do field placements for more than 5 units in their fall semester.
