On Tuesday, September 16, Equal Justice Society Director Eva Patterson '75 and UC Regent Ward Connerly will visit Boalt to discuss Proposition 54, the Racial Privacy Initiative. The initiative is a proposed amendment to the state constitution that would ban state institutions from collecting data or categorizing people on the basis of race, ethnicity, color or national origin. Proposition 54 will be decided by California voters in the next statewide election. Patterson and Connerly will each be given time to present their viewpoints and will answer questions from the audience.

The event is open to UC Berkeley students and will begin at 5:30 pm in Booth auditorium.
