Erik Dryburgh ’81 Receives 2005 Phil Hoffmire Service Award Erik Dryburgh ‘81 was selected by the Northern California Planned Giving Council as the 2005 Phil Hoffmire Service Award recipient. The award honors an individual whose professional accomplishments have made a significant and lasting impact on the field of planned giving in Northern California, and whose life and character have earned the respect and admiration of their professional colleagues.
Dryburgh is a principal with Silk, Adler & Colvin, a firm that represents nonprofit organizations and their donors. He specializes in charitable giving, charitable estate planning and nonprofit organizations. A frequent speaker in these areas, he has given presentations for the National Committee on Planned Giving, the Northern California Planned Giving Council, Continuing Education of the Bar and the State Bar of California.
Dryburgh is a co-editor of The Charitable Gift Planning News and has written chapters and articles on charitable remainder trusts, wills and trusts, stock options, and charitable reverse split-dollar insurance. He is a certified public accountant and currently a member of the board of directors of the San Francisco Estate Planning Council.
