Soul of Justice: Documentary Spotlights Career of Judge Thelton Henderson '62
A new documentary film portrays the momentous life and career of U. S. District Judge Thelton Henderson '62. Soul of Justice: Thelton Henderson's American Journey focuses on the adversity he faced from his days as the first African-American attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division in the early 1960s to his noteworthy quarter-century of service on the federal bench.
The documentary by Berkeley filmmaker Abby Ginzberg screens October 9 and 10 at the Mill Valley Film Festival and October 14 at the Performing Arts Theater in San Rafael. For more details on the showings, on the movie and on Judge Henderson, read the October 7 San Francisco Chronicle feature.
