San Francisco Chronicle Interviews Civil Rights Attorney John Burris '73
John Burris '73 is featured in a question-and-answer interview in the San Francisco Chronicle Magazine on June 5. Burris, a prominent civil rights attorney in Oakland, describes his journey to becoming a lawyer specializing in police misconduct cases. Among his high-profile cases, Burris represented motorist Rodney King and some 119 plaintiffs in the “Riders” class action suit against the Oakland Police Department.
