Boalt 2Ls Win California Regionals of the National Moot Court Competition
Boalt 2L's Patrick Hein, Farbod Moridani and Moira Smith bested nineteen other teams to win the California regionals of the National Moot Court Competition in early November. The final round was judged by Associate Justices Carlos Moreno and Ming Chin of the California Supreme Court and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Shirley Hufstedler (Retired). Smith, Moridani and Hein also won the best brief award at the regional competition. They will compete in the national rounds in New York in February. K.C. Allan of Perkins Coie coached the team. Lecturer in Residence William Fernholz '93 directs Boalt's Moot Court program.
