Boalt Teams Continue to Shine in Moot Court Competitions
On Sunday, April 7, Jason Takenouchi '04, Chelsea Tanaka-Delgado '05 and Ritu Bhatnagar '05 took first place in the Roger J. Traynor ['27] California Moot Court Competition in Los Angeles. The team received the Roger J. Traynor award for best oral argument and the Bernard E. Witkin ['28] award for overall excellence in appellate advocacy. All three team members also won oral excellence awards for their exceptional individual scores in oral argument. The Traynor competition focuses on California law using the record drawn from a real case in the California Court of Appeal.

Another Boalt team--Julia Berman '05 and Monali Sheth '05--also fared well in the BMI/Cardozo Entertainment and Communications Law Moot Court Competition in New York City. On Saturday, March 20, they advanced to the quarterfinal round, and Julie Berman won the best oralist award for her performance during the preliminary rounds.
