Moot Court Team Places First in the Nation
On Saturday, March 13, Boalt students placed first in the nation in the Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C. The team—Henry Carbajal ’04, Cheryl Kahn ’05, George Fox ’05 and Rob Vartabedian ’05—also won awards for best brief and best oralist team. The team previously placed first and earned the best brief award at the regional competition in San Francisco in February.
The Saul Lefkowitz Competition is the nation’s premier trademark law competition, and was established to introduce law students to the challenging and varied issues involved in trademark and unfair competition law. Arguments are made before distinguished jurists from the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
