Dean-elect Christopher Edley Jr. Addresses Boalt Students
Dean-elect Christopher Edley Jr. was greeted with a standing ovation by Boalt students at his first address to the Boalt community since accepting the deanship. During the talk, Edley offered his analysis of the opportunities and challenges facing Boalt Hall and his vision for the future. He also took questions from students, who filled the auditorium to hear him speak. The talk took place on February 10 at Boalt Hall. A feature on Edley’s talk is available on the university website.

A national leader in civil rights law and public policy, Edley is currently a law professor at Harvard University. He served in both the Carter and Clinton administrations and is currently a part of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. He is also a founder of the Civil Rights Project, an influential think tank focused on racial justice matters.
