East Bay Community Law Center Receives the Distinguished Service Award for Community Service
The Alameda County Bar Association (ACBA) presented the East Bay Community Law Center (EBCLC) with its Distinguished Service Award for Community Service at the ACBA’s Installation Reception on January 9, 2004. ACBA President Spencer Strellis ’58, who was sworn-in at the reception, thanked the EBCLC for its "unselfish and dedicated service to the ACBA and the community."
The EBCLC was founded in 1988 by Boalt students with the mission of ensuring legal access to justice for all members of our society, providing training to law students and legal services to the poor and disenfranchised.
