Student Receives Congressional Fellowship
Jurisprudence and Social Policy student Amy Steigerwalt was awarded a 2004-05 Congressional Fellowship by the American Political Science Association (APSA). APSA awards this fellowship to new Ph.D.s in the field of American politics nationwide. The scholars serve for nine months on congressional staffs in order to acquire hands-on experience and insight into the legislative process, politics and public service. Steigerwalt is currently completing her dissertation on the shifting role of senators in the judicial confirmation process, and will use the postdoctoral fellowship to expand her research. For more information, please contact Erin Campbell at 510-643-8010 or ecampbell@law.berkeley.edu.
