Boalt Professor and Alum to Assist in Search for New UC Berkeley Chancellor
University of California President Robert C. Dynes has selected a Boalt professor and alumnus to advise him in the search for the next chancellor of UC Berkeley. The 17-member committee includes Professor Herma Hill Kay and John Davies ’62, UC regent and an attorney with Allen, Matkins, Leck, Gamble & Mallory in San Diego. In its first meeting on January 28, the committee will gather ideas and comments regarding the search for the chancellor’s replacement when he steps down next summer. The committee will also be involved in recruiting, screening and conducting interviews with candidates. Dynes hopes to recommend a candidate to the Board of Regents by April. For more information, visit the university website or contact Erin Campbell at 510-643-8010 or ecampbell@law.berkeley.edu.
