Premier Journalist Tavis Smiley Evaluates Election Results
One week following the presidential elections, Tavis Smiley visited Berkeley to discuss the election results and the potential impact on communities of color. Smiley hosts Tavis Smiley on PBS and The Tavis Smiley Show from NPR. His most recent book is The Unfinished Agenda of Brown v. Board of Education.
The event was held on Thursday, November 11, in Wheeler Auditorium on the UC Berkeley campus at 7 p.m. Smiley's talk was sponsored by the Applied Research Center, the Boalt Hall Center for Social Justice, The Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law and the Philanthropic Initiative for Racial Equity.
