Chancellor's Award For Boalt's Eric Abrams
Associate Admissions Director Eric Abrams is a 2004 recipient of the Chancellor's Outstanding Staff Award (COSA), recognizing his efforts in the areas of outreach and recruitment at Boalt. Abrams has helped the law school gain high visibility among prospective students, demonstrated by a 68 percent rise in applications since he joined the Boalt staff in 1998. Minority student enrollment has substantially increased during his tenure.
One of the highest honors bestowed upon staff by the chancellor, the COSA is presented annually to staff members who make significant contributions toward advancing the university's mission of excellence in teaching, research and public service. Abrams, who earned a B.A. from Stanford University in 1985 and a master's from UCLA in 1990, was among 24 individual staff members along with three staff teams recognized at a recent ceremony.
