Berkeley Law Foundation Holds its Ninth Annual Auction
The Berkeley Law Foundation's ninth annual auction was a rousing success, raising more than $30,000-enough to support two to three Phoenix Fellowships at Boalt for next year. The most sought-after item was a BarBri course that sold for $3,600. A tour of Opus 1 wineries went for $1,000, and dates with Boalt Hall students raised a total of more than $1,200.
More than 900 students, alumni, faculty, and practitioners on November 5 attended the always lively event. Guests had the opportunity to bid on their favorite items, dance and enjoy the convivial spirit that pervaded Pauley Ballroom.
The Phoenix Fellowship was created in 1997 to encourage students of color to attend Boalt Hall and pursue a career in public interest work.
