Uttam Dhillon Appointed Chief Counsel of Homeland Security Committee
Uttam Dhillon '87 has been chosen to serve as the chief counsel and deputy staff director of the House Select Committee on Homeland Security. The committee is responsible for coordinating all House oversight of the Homeland Security Department.

Prior to his current appointment, Dhillon was the policy director of the House Republican Policy Committee. He also has served as the senior investigative counsel to the House Committee on Government Reform and Oversight. "Uttam's extensive Hill experience in both policymaking and oversight will be a vital asset to the Homeland Security Committee," says Rep. Christopher Cox, the committee chairman.

In addition to his work on Capitol Hill, Dhillon has served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Los Angeles and has worked for several private law firms. For more information, please contact Chris Bush at 510-643-8215 or cbush@law.berkeley.edu.
