Alumni Named Top Attorneys in the Bay Area by The Recorder
The Recorder named three alumni as top attorneys in the Bay Area, based on a survey of local judges, arbitrators, mediators, clients, peers and adversaries. The paper recognized Peter Benvenutti ’74 as a top bankruptcy attorney due to his nearly 30 years of practice in the field and his success as the head of the Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe’s Bankruptcy Practice Group. The article also honors Eric Danoff ’74 for his effectiveness as a defense lawyer in maritime personal injury cases, including a successful argument before the U.S. Supreme Court. Jeffrey Lewis ’75 was listed in the field of Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) law for his expertise and his firm’s pending class action against WorldCom.
