Students Earn Honors in Moot Court Competitions
Michele Gustafson ’04 and Nick Martini ’04 placed second in the 2003 Giles Sutherland Rich Moot Court National Competition. The event took place in Washington, D.C., on April 14-15. Focused on intellectual property law, the Giles Sutherland Rich Memorial Moot Court competition was established in honor of the late Giles Sutherland Rich, circuit judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. The contest is sponsored by the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
Caryn Adams ’03, Lori Anderson ’03 and Jorge Medina ’03 took home honors in the 2003 Roger Traynor Moot Court Competition. The team placed first in the best brief competition and second in the appellate advocacy competition. The event took place in San Francisco on April 5-6. Now run by the Witkin Legal Institute, the Roger J. Traynor California Moot Court Competition was developed and conducted for nearly 30 years by the Young Lawyers Association of the State Bar of California.
