PBS Documentary Features Judge Thelton Henderson
Boalt alumnus Judge Thelton Henderson '62 appears in a 21-minute documentary about black federal judges that will air on San Francisco's PBS station on Saturday, February 22. The program, On Their Shoulders We Stand, was directed by Abby Ginzberg, a filmmaker and former attorney who sits on Boalt's Center for Social Justice's advisory council.
The documentary profiles Cecil Poole and David Williams, two black legal trailblazers who both served as District Court judges. Henderson, who also sits on the Center for Social Justice's advisory council, was interviewed about Poole, who mentored him when Henderson was nominated for the Northern District Court bench.
The documentary airs at 5:30 p.m. on San Francisco's KQED television (channel 9). For more information, please contact Chris Bush at 510-643-8215 or cbush@law.berkeley.edu.
