Judge Randall Rader to Receive BCLT Distinguished Service Award
The Berkeley Center for Law & Technology (BCLT) will present Judge Randall Rader its 2003 Distinguished Service Award at a dinner on Wednesday, October 22. Judge Rader has served on the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit since 1990, where he has authored numerous influential opinions. Since joining the federal bench, he has led or participated in 26 delegations to foreign countries, usually to teach rule of law or intellectual property concepts in developing nations. He is the author of Patent Law, a widely used casebook.

The BCLT Distinguished Service Award is presented annually to recognize leadership and individual achievement in advancing the field of law and technology. Founded in 1995, BCLT brings together leading academics, policy makers, industry representatives and leading law firms to explore cutting-edge legal and policy issues affecting high-technology industries. This year BCLT is expanding its offerings to include an Entertainment Law and New Media Program. For more information, contact Erin Campbell at 510-643-8010 or ecampbell@law.berkeley.edu.
