James Brosnahan Discuses Oakland Raiders Lawsuit
Attorney James Brosnahan will visit Boalt on Wednesday, October 22, to discuss the recent suit by the Oakland Raiders against the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. Brosnahan was counsel for the Oakland Coliseum Authority and Ed DeSilva in the suit. In August a Sacramento jury awarded the Oakland Raiders $34.2 million after finding that coliseum officials made negligent misrepresentations in talks to bring the team back from Los Angeles. However, the verdict against the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum commission was far less than the $570 million to $833 million sought by the Raiders.
James Brosnahan is a partner at Morrison & Foerster in San Francisco. Sponsored by the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, the talk will take place in 105 Boalt at 5:20 p.m. For more information, contact Erin Campbell at 510-643-8010 or ecampbell@law.berkeley.edu.
