Boalt Hosts Conference on Human and Civil Rights Abuses
The Boalt Hall International Human Rights Student Board will host “Holding the U.S. Accountable: Human and Civil Rights Abuses Post-9/11” on Saturday, March 15. The conference will feature two panels promoting awareness of the changing human rights environment in the United States. The keynote speech will be given at 1 p.m. by James Brosnahan, partner at Morrison & Foerster and lead counsel for John Walker Lindh. Panelists include, U.S. Magistrate Judge Ed Chen and Lucas Guttentag, founding director of the Immigrants’ Rights Project of the ACLU.
