Boalt Presents Once upon a Time…Welfare Made a Difference
On Thursday, April 24, Boalt Hall’s Center for Social Justice will present the West Coast premiere of Once Upon a Time…Welfare Made a Difference. Produced by New York’s Community Food Resource Center, the 27-minute film features four women from across the United States who share how welfare served as a lifeline for their families. The film begins with an introduction by Representative Lynn Woolsey (D-Calif.), a former welfare recipient and current chair of the Democratic Caucus Task Force on Children. Following the film, there will be a panel discussion with welfare recipients.

The screening will take place Thursday, April 24, from 7-8:30 p.m. in 105 Boalt. It is free and open to the public. For more information, please contact Erin Campbell at 510-643-8010 or ecampbell@law.berkeley.edu.
