Charles McClain Receives Distinguished Research Mentoring Award
The College of Letters and Science has awarded Charles McClain the 2003 Award for Distinguished Research Mentoring of Undergraduates. The award is presented each year to five faculty members who have created extraordinary research opportunities for students beyond the classroom by devoting their time and effort to encouraging and developing research projects.
As a lecturer in residence, McClain has directed a remarkable number of research papers and honors theses undertaken by students in the Legal Studies Program. He is the first member of the Boalt community to receive the award. A campus award ceremony will be held during the fall semester.
