Boalt Hall Presents the 2003 Jensen Award
Boalt Hall will present the 2003 Judge D. Lowell Jensen Public Service Award to Justice Robert Puglia ’58 on Wednesday, May 7. Established in 1998, the Jensen Award is given each year to a prominent Boalt graduate for his or her outstanding commitment to public service in the legal field.

The Honorable Robert Puglia has enjoyed a long and distinguished career, including 27 years on the bench. He was the presiding justice of the California Court of Appeal, 3rd District for 24 years before his retirement in 1998. He served the last seven of those years as the senior presiding justice of the California appellate system. Some 375 of his opinions are published in the official reports.

The award will be presented at a luncheon in Sacramento. David Ismay ’05 and Quirina Orozco ’05 will also be presented with Jensen fellowships, awarded each year to enable students to pursue summer public interest work. For more information and to register online for the luncheon, please go to the alumni section of the website or contact Alumni Relations at 510-642-1832.
