The Daily Journal Names Boalt Alumni to its Top 100 List
The Daily Journal has included nine Boalt graduates in its list of the Top 100 Lawyers in California. The list is compiled each year to highlight the state's most influential legal practitioners and academics.
Boalt alumni honored in the issue are: Elizabeth J. Cabraser '78, name partner, Lieff, Cabraser, Heimann & Bernstein in San Francisco; Dennis A. Fischer '65, sole practitioner in Santa Monica; Thomas J. Nolan '70, managing partner, Howrey Simon Arnold & White in Los Angeles; Eva J. Paterson '75, executive director of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights in San Francisco; John A. Schulman '72, general counsel for Warner Bros. in Burbank; Tower C. Snow Jr. '73, partner, Clifford Chance in San Francisco; Lawrence W. Sonsini '66, chair, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto; and Steven G. Zieff '78, name partner, Rudy, Exelrod & Zieff in San Francisco.
Ira E. Yellin, president of Urban Partners and The Yellin Co. in Los Angeles, was also included on the list. Credited with restoring the decaying landmarks of historic Los Angeles, Yellin passed away in September at the age of 62.
