Two Alumni to Clerk for U.S. Supreme Court
Boalt graduates Sambhav N. "Sam" Sankar ’00 and Neil Siegel ’01 have been offered clerkships with the U.S. Supreme Court for 2003-2004. Sankar, who will clerk for Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, currently works for Judge Louis Pollak of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. After he finishes clerking for Judge Pollak, he will move to Washington, D.C., to work for the Civil Appellate Section of the Justice Department. Siegel, who will clerk for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, currently works in Charlottesville, Virginia, for Chief Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson III of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Siegel will spend next year serving as a Bristow Fellow in the U.S. Solicitor General's office in Washington, D.C. Both Sankar and Siegel will start with the Supreme Court in June 2003.
