Robbins Collection Holds Conference for International Judges
On September 12-15, Boalt Hall hosted Judicial Power and the Rule of Law: Comparative Perspectives. Organized by the Robbins Collection, the conference was attended by high-ranking judges from France, China, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands and the United States. The participants discussed a variety of issues, including the politics of selection and appointment to the higher courts in various legal systems, judicial reform and economic transformation in China, and U.S. laws involved in the war on terrorism.
