Paul Ehrlich '03 and Sonal Mehta '02 placed second in this year's Giles Sutherland Rich Moot Court competition. Sponsored by the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the competition draws student teams from law schools across the country. Ehrlich and Mehta placed second in the March regional competition and advanced to the national competition in Washington, D.C., which was held April 10-12. They competed in the finals before a distinguished panel of judges from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. In addition to the team's second-place finish in the national finals, Ehrlich received the Best Oral Advocate award in the regional competition.
Focused on intellectual property law, the Giles Sutherland Rich Memorial Moot Court competition was established in honor of the late Giles Sutherland Rich, circuit judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
