Boalt Hall Hosts Lecture by Kenneth L. Karst
On Thursday, April 18, Boalt will host the Jefferson Memorial Lecture given by Kenneth L. Karst, professor of law at UCLA. The lecture, "Law, Cultural Conflict and the Socialization of Children," is sponsored by the Graduate Council of the Academic Senate and will begin 3:10 p.m. in Booth Auditorium.

Karst is the David G. Price and Dallas P. Price Professor of Law Emeritus at UCLA, where he has taught constitutional law since 1965. "Kenneth Karst is recognized as one of America's most profound and interesting students of multiculturalism and the law," says Harry N. Scheiber, Boalt Hall professor and chair of the Jefferson Memorial Lectures Committee. "The lecture is a uniquely important event for the UC Berkeley community."
