Boalt Disability Law Society Hosts Conference
From March 14-15, The Boalt Disability Law Society hosted the conference Changing The Face of Disability Law. The conference addressed the expanding area of disability rights law, including the disabled community's access to education, health care and technology.
The conference kicked off with a dinner featuring keynote speaker Arlene Mayerson, directing attorney for the Disability Rights Education & Defense Fund Inc. The second day of the conference featured five panels of academics, lawyers, activists and practitioners covering topics ranging from community activism to litigation strategies.
