Chancellor to Appoint Interim Dean Following John Dwyer's Resignation
Following the announcement of Dean John P. Dwyer's resignation, UC Berkeley Chancellor Robert Berdahl is consulting with many members of the law school and campus community before naming Boalt Hall's new interim dean. Berdahl is expected to name an interim leader in the coming days. This person will be a tenured faculty member of the law school with the ability and knowledge necessary to facilitate a smooth transition in leadership. The interim dean will lead the law school while a national search gets under way to appoint Boalt's next dean. The university issued two press releases regarding Dwyer's resignation, the first on November 27 and the second on December 2, as well as a fact sheet regarding campus policies and procedures.
