Lauren Edelman Elected President of the Law and Society Association
Professor of Law and Sociology Lauren B. Edelman has been elected president of the Law and Society Association, the world's premiere organization promoting the study of law and legal institutions. Unlike most scholarly organizations, the Law and Society Association has a tradition of vigorously contested elections. Edelman will assume her duties as president in 2002.
