Chancellor Chooses EBCLC as a University-Community Partnership Project
Congratulations to the East Bay Community Law Center (EBCLC), chosen by Chancellor Robert Berdahl as a notable University-Community Partnership Project for 2000-01. This award honors collaborations between the campus and the community that have made significant contributions to local residents.

Founded in 1988 by Boalt Hall students, the EBCLC provides hands-on training to law students through the clinical education program. Since its founding, staff attorneys have supervised over 500 law students, and together they have handled more than 15,000 legal matters for the community. EBCLC has also become the largest provider of legal services for low-income residents in the East Bay.
