In order to print remotely from your laptop to our LAW-BandW-Queue printers, you need to install a small client on your laptop first.
The installers for the Mac and Windows versions of the print client are available here: Remote Printing Instructions and Software.
You can retrieve your remote print jobs from one of three locations: the Library Print/Scanning Center (LL130), the LL2 Print/Scanning room in the library, or the West Basement (Student Center). Retrieve your document from any of these locations by walking up to the release station (a computer sitting next to the printer) and logging in by swiping your Cal1Card on the appropriate reader. You will see a list of your print jobs ready for printing.
If you cannot locate your documents for printing at one of the release stations, see the lab tech on duty in the computer lab.
For information about your print balance, please see our main printing page.
For instructions for setting up double-sided printing to BoaltRemote, please see our our double-sided printing instructions.
For information about other printers available to you, please see our sections on Lab Printing and Lexis and Westlaw Printing.
If you are experiencing printing errors after the remote client installation, please see if they are addressed here (for Macs). If these instructions do not apply to the problem you are encountering, or if they do not resolve the issue, please email studentcomputing@law.berkeley.edu or stop by the Student Computer Lab (LL131) for help.
