AccessUN: The Readex Index to United Nations Documents UCB only
UC Berkeley: AccessUN is a commercially published index to United Nations documents and publications, from 1945 onward. The full text documents themselves are available in GSSI (2nd floor of Doe Library) in the companion Readex UN Documents microfiche collection (Microfiche 10982). Law Library patrons: AccessUN can also serve as a key to the Law Library`s extensive U.N. documents holdings in hard copy. Use AccessUN to find bibliographic citations for UN documentation , then locate the documents (in paper) by UN symbol or Official Records designators in the U.N. Room. Note that the Law Library`s collection, however, is tailored to legal research and does not acquire all of the items listed in AccessUN. For more information, consult our UN Resources & Research Tools guide.
ASIL Guide to Electronic Resources for International Law
The purpose of the guide is to evaluate, organize, guide and explain electronic international legal resources. The various chapters are critically revised and updated on a six-month basis. Each chapter discuss the parameters and vagaries of electronic research in their fields of expertise. They set out basic strategies to find international legal materials and examine what resources are available on international environmental, economic and criminal law, private international law, human rights, treaties, international organizations, and the United Nations.
Official Document System of the United Nations (ODS)
This database provides access to all types of official United Nations documentation, beginning in 1993. Since older UN documents are added to the system on a daily basis, be sure to search the collection. ODS also provides access to the resolutions of the General Assembly, Security Council, Economic and Social Council and the Trusteeship Council from 1946 onwards. The system does not contain press releases, UN sales publications, the United Nations Treaty Series or information brochures issued by the Department of Public Information. For more information, consult our UN Resources & Research Tools guide.
