To reach the Canon Copy Service in the Berkeley Law Library, go from the lobby into the Pole Forest, then turn right at the end of the poles. You will see the door to the Copy Service about halfway down the hallway. The Copy Service contains all the law library's self-service photocopiers, as well as an Over-The-Counter Service (OCS).

The OCS hours during are 9 AM – 5 PM during the school year and 9 AM – 4:30 PM during the summer and other holiday periods.

The self-service copiers take coins and $1 and $5 dollar bills, as well as copy cards. The change machine changes $1, $5, $10, and $20 bills. Copies using coins and bills cost 15 cents per page.

Copy cards may be purchased either from a machine or from the OCS attendant. Copies from cards purchased from the machine cost 15 cents per page. UC students and employees who purchase cards from the OCS attendant are charged 10 cents per page. The copy service accepts checks, and credit cards for amounts over $5. Note: students may not charge copies against their annual lab print balance.

Printing jobs may be sent from the library's public access computers to the copy service's print release station. To do this you name your job by assigning it a "release key". You must have a copy card, which you then insert into the print release station and enter your release key. Print requests remain in the queue for 4 hours. Note: students may not charge copies against their annual lab print balance.

You may download your copying onto a flash drive and bring it to the OCS attendant, who will make copies for you. The OCS attendant also will make copies for you from your email. All patrons are charged 13 cents per copy for these services.
