Lexis and Westlaw PrintingLexis and Westlaw PrintingWestlaw and Lexis have separate printers that are maintained by the lab, and the staffed representatives. Westlaw documents are sent to 1 of 2 printers which are located in a printer room behind the main lab near the elevator. You cannot choose a particular printer to handle your print job; jobs are processed in the order which they are received. Both Lexis and Westlaw offer free printing to registered Boalt students and printing will not be deducted from your print overall computer lab print balance. Please do not attempt to fill or maintain these printers are your own. Notify the labtech or Lexis/Westlaw representatives on duty if there are printer problems. Both Westlaw and Lexis have files set up for old print jobs. If at anytime you print from home through your Westlaw or Lexis account, your jobs can be printed through the machines in the lab. These files tend to be quite large and can easily pile up, so during the semester they are filed alphabetically by last name and placed in file folders located adjacent or in front of the printers in the respective rooms. These are cleaned out every few weeks, so please be prompt in retrieving your documents, otherwise they will be recycled. |
