Lab and Remote Printer LocationsThere are 3 different Lab Printers available for printing documents. Pete (color printer), Alfalfa (manual feed printer), and Spanky (black and white, double-sided printing printer). All three are located in the printer room in the main computer lab (M130). Note: ANYTHING printed to Pete will be charged at 75 cents/page, whether printing is in color or not, so please be mindful of where your print jobs are going. The lab is not responsible for crediting back pages accidentally sent to Pete. When printing from your laptop, you will choose the BoaltRemote "printer". Think of BoaltRemote as a method rather than a physical printer. You can retrieve BoaltRemote print jobs in either the printer room in the main computer lab adjacent to the Westlaw/Lexis printers (M130A), or in the copyroom in the North Addition Reading Room (238). Retrieve your document from either location by walking up to the release station (a computer sitting next to the printer) and logging on with your CalNet ID and passphrase. You will see a list of your print jobs ready for printing. If you cannot locate your documents for printing at one of the release stations, see the lab tech on duty in the main computer lab. To set up double-sided printing to Spanky or to BoaltRemote, click "Properties", then in the "Document Options" section, click the "Print on Both Sides" checkbox. For Lexis and Westlaw printers please see section on Lexis and Westlaw Printing.
