The Law Library is pleased to introduce the Bloomberg suite of online services to the law school. We are part of Bloomberg's new law school program aimed at the top U.S. Law Schools and during the semester there will be opportunities for students to sign up and register for Bloomberg, and also to get trained on how to use these premium tools.

Initial registration of users wishing to get started exploring the Bloomberg service took place in late January. Training will be offered Tuesday, February 12th and Wednesday February 13th. This training is only for those students and faculty members who have already enrolled for Bloomberg. To sign up for these initial registration sessions go to: http://www.law.berkeley.edu/library/dynamic/internal/bloomberg.php

Program Description from Bloomberg

For 25 years Bloomberg has been the financial information backbone of Wall Street and we have leveraged this position to become a powerful force in the legal profession. Every AmLaw 100 firm now has at least 1 Bloomberg and several large firms such as Paul Weiss have outfitted their entire bankruptcy practice with Bloombergs. We also offer in depth legal analysis in practice areas ranging from securities law to IP, labor and employment, energy and health Law. Bloomberg will give you a distinct advantage over other first year associates by giving you access to top financial information, legal news and sources -- the same information CEOs, International Banks and top law firms use to conduct their business.
