Lesson 1.5: Previewing Your Page in a Browser

What Will It Look Like?

Want to see what your page will really look like in a browser? Although Dreamweaver is WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get), sometimes browsers may display the page differently. To see how your page looks in a real browser, go to File > Preview in Browser, and then select the browser you want to preview it in. (You can only preview in browsers that are already installed on your computer.)

Of course, a simpler method would be to simply save your page and view it on the web itself via your URL, but this previewing-method is good for those times when you're not sure about something and are hesitant about actually saving it. (The previewing method saves copy of your page as a temporary html file to view from instead.)
