Technical Support Contact Information

Technical support is provided by the law library computer labs.
Individual students should initially address their technical support issues to the law library computer labs. The answers to many questions can be located in the Computing Resources section of the law library Web site. The student lab assistants are also able to solve many issues that students may have. If the technical support requires more in depth work—such as workstation software and hardware support—students can go to M130C Boalt (in the back of the computer labs) from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or send email to studentcomputing@law.berkeley.edu.

Law School Help Desk
The Law School Help Desk provides support to student journals, groups, clinics, and centers. Their area of service mainly focuses on workstation software and hardware support. The Help Desk also provides technical support to the Boalt Hall student body with CalMail/@boalthall.berkeley.edu email account management, computer purchase recommendations, ExamSoft™ (laptop exams), and CalNet account management. Because of the autonomous nature of various campus computing resources (i.e., CalMail, CalNet, etc.), the Help Desk frequently serves as liaison between law students and campus or law school units alike.
