Lucinda Sikes
Lucinda Sikes came to Boalt after nine years as a public interest attorney in Washington, D.C. At Public Citizen Litigation Group, she litigated before the federal and state courts to open government records and protect consumers, including serving as counsel of record in a Federal Arbitration Act pre-emption case before the U.S. Supreme Court (Doctors Associates v. Casarotto, 517 U.S. 1652 (1996)). She also testified before Congress and participated in rulemaking proceedings on a variety of consumer protection issues as a staff attorney with the U.S. Public Interest Research Group.
Her publications include FDAs Consideration of Codex Alimentarius Standards in Light of International Trade Agreements, in the Food and Drug Law Journal (1998).
